This policy applies to all purchases made via www.alpineresearchlabs.co.uk and governs cancellations, refunds, replacements, and chargebacks for research-only peptide and laboratory reagent products
1. Nature of Products (Critical Notice)
All products sold by Alpine Research Labs are:
- Strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research use only
- Not for human or veterinary consumption
- Non-returnable once dispatched, due to safety, traceability, and contamination risk
As research reagents, these products cannot be resold, reused, or reintroduced into inventory once dispatched.
2. Order Cancellations
Before Dispatch
- Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch by contacting info@alpineresearch.co.uk.
- If the order has not yet entered fulfilment, a full refund will be issued.
After Dispatch
- No cancellations are permitted once an order has been dispatched, regardless of delivery status.
- This includes refusal of delivery or failure to collect a parcel.
3. Refund Eligibility (Very Limited)
Refunds or replacements are issued only in the following circumstances:
- Manufacturing defect confirmed upon inspection
- Damage during transit supported by photographic evidence
- Parcel confirmed lost by the courier after investigation
No other refund scenarios are permitted.
4. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind
- Incorrect product selection
- Misinterpretation of research suitability
- Failure to understand “research-use only” restrictions
- Delayed delivery where the parcel remains in transit
- Failure to collect or refusal of delivery
- Opened, used, or tampered products
- Third-party testing results or experimental outcomes
5. Returns Policy
- Returns are only accepted where explicitly authorised in writing.
- Authorised returns must be
- Unopened
- Unused
- In original sealed packaging
- Returned items are subject to inspection before any refund or replacement is approved.
Unauthorised returns will be rejected and disposed of without refund.
6. Lost or Delayed Shipments
- Dispatch dates do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates.
- Items cannot be resent while marked “in transit”.
- If a parcel is officially declared lost by the courier:
- A refund or replacement will be issued after completion of the courier investigation, typically within 15 working days.
7. Chargeback Policy
Chargebacks Are Strongly Discouraged
Customers must contact info@alpineresearchlabs.co.uk before raising a chargeback.
Disputes Will Be Challenged
We will formally challenge chargebacks raised for:
- Research-use misunderstandings
- Post-dispatch cancellations
- Delivery delays
- Non-collection or refusal of delivery
- Policy disagreement rather than product defect
We retain comprehensive records including:
- Order confirmation
- Checkout research-use acknowledgment
- Shipping confirmation and tracking
- Policy acceptance logs
8. Abuse & Fraud Prevention
- Repeated chargebacks or refund abuse may result in:
- Permanent account suspension
- Refusal of future orders
- We reserve the right to report abusive behaviour to payment processors and fraud-prevention networks.
9. Refund Processing Time
- Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 working days.
- Banking providers may take additional time to credit funds.
10. Legal Position
This policy is compliant with UK consumer law exemptions relating to:
- Goods supplied for professional or research use
- Goods that cannot be returned for health, safety, or contamination reasons
Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights where applicable.
11. Acceptance of Policy
By placing an order with Alpine Research Labs, you confirm that you:
- Understand the research-only nature of the products
- Accept the restrictions outlined in this policy
- Agree not to pursue refunds or chargebacks outside the permitted conditions
